Michael Divià
Hands-on engineer focused on reliable infrastructures: Linux systems, enterprise networking, observability, and structured operations in high-availability environments.
< About Me />
Computer Science graduate (BSc HES–SO) with hands-on experience in critical and high-availability environments. I supported and evolved system/network infrastructures in a hospital context, contributed to enterprise network migrations, and developed a structured approach to incident handling and documentation. I also operate personal Linux servers where I deploy containerized services and monitor them using Prometheus and Grafana.

< Experience />
Telecom, Network & System Engineer
Supported hospital critical systems in high-availability contexts, resolved incidents, and contributed to network upgrade/migration projects (Extreme Networks) without user service interruption. Maintained operational documentation and procedures.
Security Agent
Provided observation, security and access control services during events and patrols across multiple municipalities. Built strong discipline, stress management and clear communication in operational contexts.
Swiss Army — Private to Sergeant (Artillery School 31)
Served as a driver (M–109 self-propelled howitzer) and was promoted to Sergeant. Provided drill instruction and team leadership with emphasis on safety and communication.
CFC in Computer Science (Apprenticeship)
Help desk L1/L2/L3, PC assembly & troubleshooting, systems administration. Participated in infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

< Projects />
Bachelor Thesis — ATLAS Trigger (FPGA)
Adapted and optimized the CaloJetSSD neural network toward real-time execution on FPGA for jet detection in the ATLAS trigger system at CERN, using hls4ml and an ONNX-based conversion pipeline.
M-BUS to WiFi Module (ESP8266)
Built a portable autonomous system to read multiple M-BUS sensors and expose measurements over WiFi using a NodeMCU ESP8266.
Home Lab — Monitoring & Services
Operate personal Linux servers with containerized services and monitoring dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana for availability and performance visibility.
